Combined organic layer was washed with water (20 mL x 4), dried over anhydrous NaaSOr and concentrated. The black reaction mixture was cooled to room temperature and diluted to 20 mL with water, and subsequently cooled on ice for 30 min. The resulting slurry was transferred to a 50 mL Falcon tube, which was centrifuged at 3500 rpm for 5 min. The supernatant was discarded and the black solid was transferred to a 250 mL RBF with methanol and concentrated in vacuo.
