1-(5-Bromo-1-benzofuran-2-yl)-3-(substituted phenyl)-prop-2-en-1-one 2a-e were prepared by the reaction of 5-bromo-2-acetylbenzofuran 1 with different aromatic aldehydes in presence of alkali.
