652-39-1, General procedure: A 10 mL round bottomed flask was charged with 1 (1.00 mmol), 2 (1.00 mmol), acetic acid (5 mL) and provided with a reflux condenser. After completion of the reaction, the mixture was diluted with water (20 mL) and extracted with ethyl acetate (3 x 20 mL). The combined organic layers were washed with water (2 x 20 mL), brine (20 mL), dried over anhydrous Na2SO4, filtered and evaporated in a rotary evaporator under reduced pressure.
