5,5′-((Propane-2,2-diylbis(4,1-phenylene))bis(oxy))bis(isobenzofuran-1,3-dione)(cas: 38103-06-9) is a diallyl based epoxy modification agent that blends with the resin to improve the mechanical property of the epoxy material.Name: 5,5′-((Propane-2,2-diylbis(4,1-phenylene))bis(oxy))bis(isobenzofuran-1,3-dione) It is majorly used in novalac based resins, which can be further cured with bismaleimides (BMI) for aerospace, electronics and wireless communication based applications.

Name: 5,5′-((Propane-2,2-diylbis(4,1-phenylene))bis(oxy))bis(isobenzofuran-1,3-dione)《Solvent-Resistant Self-Crosslinked Poly(ether imide)》 was published in 2021. The authors were Xu, Zhen;Gehui, Liu;Cao, Ke;Guo, Dong;Serrano, Joel;Esker, Alan;Liu, Guoliang, and the article was included in《Macromolecules (Washington, DC, United States)》. The author mentioned the following in the article:

Poly(ether imide) (PEI) is a high-performance polymer with outstanding thermal stability, mech. strength, and processability, but a critical drawback of poor solvent resistance. Exposure to solvents including chloroform, DMF, dichloromethane, and N-Me pyrrolidone severely compromises the mech. and thermal performances. Herein, we report a method for preparing thermally crosslinked PEI (X-PEI) from azide-terminated PEI (N3-PEI-N3) synthesized via a one-pot diazotization-azidation reaction. X-PEI affords unprecedented solvent resistance unpossessed by conventional PEIs, as well as solution processability unrivaled by counterpart high-performance polymers such as polyimide. The glass transition temperature, storage modulus, and swelling ratio correlate pos. with crosslinking d., which is determined by the molar mass and azide concentration of N3-PEI-N3. This work advances the chem. of high-performance polymers. The method is generic and applicable to other engineering polymers. And 5,5′-((Propane-2,2-diylbis(4,1-phenylene))bis(oxy))bis(isobenzofuran-1,3-dione) (cas: 38103-06-9) was used in the research process.
